About NDXBL
A small parent company with one habit: build things people are already looking for, and make them easy to find.
Where it started
Scott McGovern founded Green Rush Daily, a cannabis media site built almost entirely on organic search, and sold it to High Times for $7 million. In 2019 he wrote for Entrepreneur about how it was done.
The method was forged in a category where paid advertising was largely unavailable, so search had to carry everything. It has since been applied across 15+ years of work in dental, HVAC, publishing and ecommerce.
What NDXBL runs
Growth Nuts: Search, ads and web for growing businesses, plus free SEO tools and site audits.
Green Rush: Search and conversion tooling for dispensaries.
Blocklr: Crypto news for the next generation.
The Signal
NDXBL also publishes The Signal, a daily set of notes on search, and an SEO glossary.
How our sites are built
Each property runs on a different stack, on purpose. Search does not care which framework you use, and we like being able to prove it.
growthnuts.com: hand-written HTML with a small Node build, no framework at all.
greenrush.io: Astro and Tailwind on Cloudflare, with a D1 database behind the dispensary tools.
blocklr.com: static HTML generated by a Python pipeline.
ndxbl.com: Eleventy, with the Signal Trace and share images rendered at build time.
indexibility.com: SvelteKit on Cloudflare Workers, so the indexability check runs at the edge.
